World Food India Regional Editions

World Food India (WFI), organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India, is a flagship international platform aimed at promoting India’s food processing sector, facilitating investments, encouraging innovation, enhancing exports, and strengthening global partnerships.

In order to further deepen regional outreach, promote sector-specific strengths, enhance MSME participation, and enable focused B2B engagement, MoFPI is organising four Regional Editions of World Food India during Financial Year 2026–27 across different regions of the country.

WFI will now be organised as a biennial event. In the intervening years, it is proposed to organise Regional WFI events across the North, South, East, and West Zones, providing an opportunity to showcase commodity-specific strengths, promote exports, and deepen engagement with stakeholders across the food value chain.

Building on the success of previous editions, the Regional Editions are envisaged as focused, high-impact platforms that bring together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, exporters, MSMEs, startups, and global buyers. These events will serve as precursor platforms to World Food India 2027, generating a strong pipeline of investments, partnerships, and business linkages.

Each Regional Edition will feature:
  • Exhibition showcasing state pavilions, industry players, MSMEs, and startups
  • Conference sessions on policy, investment opportunities, and sectoral trends
  • Reverse Buyer-Seller Meets (RBSM) for structured B2B interactions
  • Product showcases and culinary experiences reflecting regional diversity
The initiative aims to:
  • Promote investment and ease of doing business in the food processing sector
  • Strengthen farm-to-market linkages
  • Enhance export competitiveness of Indian food products
  • Support inclusive growth by integrating MSMEs and local enterprises into global value chains
By taking World Food India closer to the regions, the Ministry seeks to unlock localized potential, encourage greater state participation, and position India as a global hub for food processing and value-added agri products.
